Tim Holtz STAMPtember Holiday Stamp Set

Good morning! Super excited to be sharing a couple cards today featuring a special collaboration stamp set and stencil between Tim Holtz and Simon Says Stamp for STAMPtember! I was thrilled to have the chance to get my hands on this set and be able to play with it early - so beautiful! I was singing Christmas songs for days after I got this - while my family laughed at me! Haha!

There is more info on the Simon Says Stamp Blog HERE - as well as a video on the bottom of the post with Tim introducing the set and featuring cards by those of use who got the set early.

That beautiful plaid image caught my eye so much that I used it on both cards! For this first one, I stamped it on the top and bottom of some white cardstock with Versamark ink, then heat embossed with clear powder. I then heat embossed the sentiment in the middle.

Next I blended on some distress inks in an ombre fashing, darker at the outside edges, then lighter in the center. Added some distress ink to help the sentiment pop as well, then added a couple of the little swags around the sentiment, filled in with a white gel pen. Finished off with some white embossing paste and using part of the stencil to blend over the transition place.

Next up, I used the same two images in a slightly different way!

For this one I stamped the plaid in clear embossing ink, then immediately added the sentiment with Versmark ink in black - THEN, I sprinkled on clear embossing powder over all of it.

Added lots of distress ink blending, some water splatters, and some white paint splatters - and finished off with some jute twine and a few gold sequins.

Make sure and check out the entire Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember release including this stamp set - and so many fun collaborations coming throughout the month!
